Director
- Oversees all program operations, trip planning, and execution
- Ensures participant safety through strong risk management and preparation
- Leads, trains, and supports backpacking guides
- Coordinates logistics, equipment, and participant communication
- Upholds the mission and creates a positive, growth-focused experience
Guide
- Lead and co-lead guided backpacking trips
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
- Facilitate group discussions, reflections, and debriefs
- Teach foundational outdoor skills (navigation, camp setup, cooking, Leave No Trace)
- Manage group pace, energy, and dynamics
- Assist with gear preparation, packing, and maintenance
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Support a positive, encouraging, and professional group environment
